BEHOLD! After nearly a year, it's finished!
Wow, that was more work than expected. Mind you, I've gone through three computers, three moves, a change in jobs, started teaching, started a D&D session, etc. between the time I started this project and now, so it's been more "lack of time" instead of "tonne of work." Also "Fail to get programs to do what I want," but that's a given.
Regardless, here is the new, updated, refined, enhanced map of Cirundi, homeworld of the kithkin (see dassovietcanuck.deviantart.com…
), complete with geographically correct rivers, tectonically accurate mountains, and mostly (kinda sorta) bang-on climatological conditions
Because I'm a sucker for accuracy, or a masochist. Take your pick.
I've also included a few of the cities included as references, because... human geography affects natural geography. Though in this case it's sythen geography... you know what? Shaddup.
Not entirely sold on the colours, but tried to make something like you'd find on the wall of a classroom. Written in English. With Latin letters. Because I suck at this.
Regardless, this should be the last of my map/geography tinkering for now, so I can get onto geopolitics, linguists, and all that fun stuff. Because I've got 12 language families on this planet, and nobody's really seen them yet! Thus, onto nations and clans and wars and explanations as to how these geographical names came about! Huzzah!
This map was based on Arsheesh of the Cartographer's Guild's mapping tutorial entitled Eriond, which can be found here: www.cartographersguild.com/tut…
And as always, Cirundi, the kithkin, and related materials belong to yours truely,
, but if you want to use the world, concepts, and ideas presented here, feel free to ask! Other than that, I will try to answer all questions, comments, and concerns in a most timely manner here!
